Mr. Folashodun Adebisi Shonubi, holds double Masters Degree respectively in Business Administration and Mechanical Engineering, from University of Lagos. He is a resourceful Information Technology-driven banker with over 22 years professional experience.
Prior to his appointment as the Managing Director NIBSS PLC, Mr. Shonubi was Executive Director, Information Technology and Operations at Union Bank of Nigeria Plc; a member of the Board of Union Homes and Director, Information Technology and Corporate Services in Renaissance Securities Nigeria limited, with responsibility for the Group’s IT infrastructure in Africa
Mr. Shonubi also had a stint with Citibank Nigeria Limited as its Head, Treasury Operations (1990-1993). Between 1999 and 2007, he worked in MBC International as Deputy General Manager and supervised their IT operational platforms. He served in First City Monument Bank Limited as Vice – President and in Ecobank Nigeria Limited as Executive Director.
He has served on a number of sub-committees of the Bankers’ Committee, including the Ethics and Professionalism sub-committee.
Mr. Ezekiel Oyeniyi Ajao attended the University of Ife (now O.A.U.), Ile-Ife and graduated with Combined Honours in Computer science and Economics. He holds the M.Sc. (Computer Sciences) degree of the University of Lagos, MBA certificate of O.A.U., Ile-Ife, and attended the Advanced Management Programme of the Lagos Business School in 2011. He lectured Computer Science and Mathematics at Ogun State University between 1986 and 1989, and has served as Associate Lecturer at the University of Lagos and Office Support Systems Manager at AIICO Insurance Plc. He joined Gulf Bank of Nigeria Ltd as a pioneer staff in 1990 and later moved on to Societe Generale Bank Nigeria Limited where he rose to become Assistant General Manager (IT), before leaving for NIBSS. He joined the services of NIBSS Plc as Deputy General Manager in 2001 and rose to the position of General Manager, Operations – a position he occupied before this appointment. While at NIBSS he has led the implementation of several industry projects notably, Nigeria Automated Clearing System, NIBSS Electronic Funds Transfer, Nigeria Central Switch, and the Cash-less Lagos infrastructure project. He has also played active roles as a member of industry committees notably the CBN-sponsored Payment System Vision 2020 working groups, and is a regular facilitator on the Electronic Payments System at the Financial Institutions Training Centre(FITC) and other financial system fora. He is a member of Computer Society of Nigeria (NCS), Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN), Project Management Institute (PMI) and a Honorary Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN). He is happily married with children.
Mrs. Christabel Phemy Onyejekwe is a professional Banker who has held various positions in the Nigerian Banking Industry. She holds an LLB Hons Degree from the University of Lagos and BL Hons from the Nigeria Law School. She also holds an MBA certificate in Banking and Finance. She started her banking career in First Bank of Nigeria PLC and piqued in UBA PLC as a General Manager with over 20 years of core Banking experience. She served in Magnum Trust Bank as the pioneer Head of Treasury between 1992 and 1997. She joined the erstwhile Standard Trust Bank in 1998 and rose to become the Chief Marketing Officer Lagos in charge of all Lagos Branches in 2003. Thereafter, she was seconded to Continental Trust Bank as Group Treasurer. She played prominent roles during the consolidation of the Banks in 2005 and thereafter was appointed the pioneer Regional Director Lagos in charge of over 100 branches in Lagos in 2006. She has versatile experience in various areas of Banking spanning Consumer & Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking and Treasury activities. Until her appointment she was General Manager in Corporate Banking Directorate of UBA PLC with oversight supervision of major conglomerates/multinationals in the industry. She is a proven turn around and result oriented professional with strong business drive and leadership qualities. She is an Associate Member of WIMBIZ and also holds an Honorary Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) Membership. She is happily married with children.
